5 Things Tuesday - Sweet & Salty Cookies I love!, ..and just in time for Holiday Baking!

If you're a Sweet & Salty lovin' kinda gal like me (..or dude), you know how hard it is to pass up a snack, particularly a cookie when both sweet and salty come together. ..And I can never stop at just one cookie, ..like who can, right? so I don't bake these types of cookies often, ..but now that the Holidays are pretty much upon us, a little extra indulging is in order, and my Holiday baking list has some new (at least to me) Sweet & Salty cookie recipes on it that I've recently tested and love.

Here they are below! Give one or all a try this Holiday Season, they're all super-duper-extra-delicious-easy-to-make cookie recipes! Scouts Honour!

1. Sweet n Salty Cookies by Canadian Living Magazine

The inspiration for these cookies comes from New York City's Momofuku Milk Bar's Compost Cookies. Use whatever goodies you have on hand: chopped chocolate, chocolate bars, chocolate-covered raisins, peanuts and savoury snacks, such as potato chips, corn chips and pretzels. Crazy but addictive and so freakin' delicious!

2. Reese's Chocolate Potato Chip Cookie by the Domestic Rebel
Ok, so when I saw these on Pinterest, I almost fell off my office chair. Reese's Cups are one of my favourite chocolates of all time, and to combine them in a Sweet & Salty cookie, well I just about fainted with how genius it all was, ..and I made these cookies the very same day I discovered the recipe last Spring!

Ammmmazing cookie, STUPENDOUS! Seriously, I cannot even stop at two, or three!, ..so these do not get baked often but when they do get baked, they are gone in a day, if that. This one creates Cookie Monsters.

3. Potato Chip Toffee Cookies by ai love baking
I love these and I really like making these with Lays Regular Chips. Something about the airier crispy-ness of this chip, say to a Ruffles Regular chip, gives the overall cookie a less dense texture. Yum is the definite word with these!

4. Salted Carmelitas by Cooking Classy
More of a bar than a cookie, but who cares these Carmelitas are insanely delicious! Calorie overload for sure, but you know what?, they're worth indulging in a little bit, ..and 'cause they're so rich, a little piece goes a long, long way! ..who am I kidding, a little piece? hahaha!

A subtle hit of salt comes right after the sweetness with these. I love that, I love waiting for that hit of saltiness, it's like waiting for my favourite tv show to start ..you know the one with the walkers and a dude named Darryl, and when it does start, it's all so worth it!

5. Salted Caramel Dark Chocolate Cookies by Sally's Baking Addiction
These cookies are extremely rich and decadent, the hit of 'salty' comes through right away and mingles with the sweet caramel and the slight bitterness of the dark chocolate beautifully! A gorgeous drop cookie recipe, ..more geared towards adults than kids, if you wanted to ask my opinion about that! :)
